Sustainability and Environment

Here at Swarkestone Nursery and Garden Centre we are continuously working towards sustainability and our environmental impact. 

We have a very strong re-cycle, up-cycle, and re-pair mentality across all areas of the business, and dedicated team to help us achieve this.

We also have some fantastic long term processes in place 

The solar panels on the roof of The Garden Restaurant help to power all the kitchen equipment 

We have also been a peat free garden centre since 2024 in all of our home grown plants

All of the timber we buy in is FSC and therefore sustainably sourced. 

Every year we use fresh cut Holly in our Christmas wreaths.  Here's owner John planting a new hedge to make sure we are replenishing what we use.
